2022 CMP REDUCED COURSE HIGH POWER STATE CHAMPIONSHIP

When: June 5, 2022

Date & Time: Squadding begins @ 8:00 am, firing begins @ 9:00 am.  Pits seal at 8:45 am

Location: Capital City Rifle Club - 1819 Germany Rd, Williamston, MI 48895

Cost: $40 Adult Member (18+), $50 Adult Non-Member (18+). Under 18 Free.  Open to all eligible competitors (minimum age is 12) – Competitors may register online and pay @ Michrpa.org

Match Capacity:  40 competitors.  Online registration with payment required to guarantee squadding.  Walk on competitors will be squadded on a FCFS basis as space allows. 

Re-Entry:  No Re-Entry allowable.  

Allowable Firearms:  

CMP 24th Edition High Power Rules dated 6/18/2021

4.1.1 - AR15 Service Rifles

4.1.3 – M1A Service Rifles

4.1.4 – M1 Garand Service Rifles

4.1.5 - CMP Match Rifles

Course of Fire:  CMP High Power Standard Course (800 aggregate)

• 3 minute prep + 2 minutes for 2 sighting shots + 20 minutes for 20 record shots from the standing position on the NRA SR target

3 minute prep + 2 minutes for 2 sighting shots + 2 strings @ 60 seconds each for 10 record shots, with reload, sitting from standing on the NRA SR target.

• 3 minute prep + 2 minutes for 2 sighting shots + 2 strings @ 70 seconds each for 10 record shots, with reload, prone from standing on the NRA SR42 target.

• 3 minute prep +  2 minutes for 2 sighting shots + 20 minutes for 20 shots for record from the prone position on the MR52 target.

Ammunition:  Competitors may use any safe ammunition

Competitor Duties:  All competitors will be required to perform score keeper and pit duty.

Prizes awarded:

High Michigan resident, with valid MRPA membership, will be named the 2022 Michigan Reduced Course High Power State Champion and will be awarded a state champion plaque.  CMP championship medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers regardless of MRPA membership or residency.  Scores shall be submitted toward 50% of the Governors 10 aggregate.  Any other donated prizes will be distributed at the match director’s discretion. 

*Michigan Rifle & Pistol Association is a 501c3 organization and all funds collected, after expenses, will be used to support state association sponsored teams at the annual Civilian Marksmanship Program National Matches.  Interested Michigan residents should contact match director (James Root) about team participation.

*MRPA by laws require the collection of $10 per MRPA authorized match from every non-member competitor.
