The Michigan State Long Range Team Match Championships

Location:  Range 10, Camp Grayling National Guard Base, Grayling, Michigan 49739

Range Setup & Practice: Thursday, set up - 13:00. 1000 yard practice - 15:00.  Set-up personal shoot free, $10 for others.

Entry, Squadding & Firing Times: Entry and Squadding starts at 7:15 on the 1000 yard line.  Firing starts at 08:00.

Entries: Entries will be made on SR-1 cards at Range 10 on the day of firing. Make checks or money orders payable to MRPA-LR.  Entries will be accepted to the limit of the range; range space has always been sufficient for the number of entrants. New Competitors: To ensure entrance to Camp Grayling, you must notify the Match Director one week prior to shooting.

Fees: Team match will be at a cost of $10.00 per person payable at the range the day of the match.  Juniors with any NRA classification card shoot free - no awards.

Eligibility: Competitors must complete a MRPA-LR Release of Liability yearly. NRA membership is not required. For MRPA memberships, see http://www.michrpa.org.

Pit Duty/ Pullers/ Other Duties: All competitors must perform pit duty or provide a substitute puller. A 3-relay rotation requiring individual target operation is used.  Paid pit pullers are generally available--contact the Match Director one week prior. Additional duties as defined by the Match Director supporting the match may also be required of competitors.

Rules: This is an NRA Approved match. Current NRA High Power Rifle Rules govern. All matches will be fired on the standard LR targets using Rule 5.6, prone position. The Match Director reserves the right to modify the course of fire and pit rotation based on number of competitors, weather, and range conditions.

Shooter Classification: The NRA Long Range classification system applies. Shooters must declare their Shooter Classification and Rifle division/class on each completed scorecard. Unclassified competitors compete in the Master Class or use their High Power classification. Rule 19.6 - Assigned Classification, or 19.2 - Temporary Classification apply.

Rifle Divisions: There will be four rifle divisions:  LR Rifle, F(tr)-Class Rifle, F(o) Rifle, and AROS.

Teams: There will be two-man and four-man teams.  Per Rule 2.10, Pick-up teams are authorized. All shooters on a team must be in the same Rifle Division.

Course of Fire Friday: For LR Rifle: Iron sights for LR. All others use Any Sights.

Match 1 - Unlimited sighters and 20 shots for record,,slow-fire, 1000 yards. 63 minutes for two-man team.

Match 2 - Unlimited sighters and 20 shots for record,,slow-fire, 1000 yards. 63 minutes for two-man team.

Match 3 - Unlimited sighters and 20 shots for record,,slow-fire, 1000 yards. 63 minutes for two-man team.

Match 4 - Aggregate of all scores fired in matches 1-3.

Awards Disposition: There will be awards for two-man and the four-man teams in each Rifle Division for each fired match and aggregate for all rifle divisions. MICHIGAN STATE LONG RANGE TEAM CHAMPIONS: The two-man and four-man team winners of each Rifle Division will be declared Michigan State Long Range Team Champions 2014
